A typical day includes reviewing and preparing quotes, following up with customers on designs and timelines, and entering and validating orders to ensure they are ready for production. The team also spends time problem solving edge cases, such as design challenges, material questions, or tight deadlines, while collaborating closely with internal teams to keep work moving.
Customer interaction is a core part of the role. Most communication happens through email, including quotes, updates, and clarifications, with occasional calls for more complex or time sensitive situations. The team also takes a proactive approach, following up to keep projects moving and identify new opportunities. The goal is always to be responsive, clear, and helpful, making it easy for customers to do business with the company.
From Quote to Production
By getting everything right at the start, Sales enables Production to move quickly and efficiently without unexpected issues. Sales acts as the connection point between customers and internal teams, working with Engineering and Design to confirm feasibility, coordinating with Production to ensure smooth handoffs and realistic timelines, and partnering with Quality to address requirements and prevent issues.
